“Drones are an additional means of damage. But it happened in our country that he became the main one, ”says Oleg Guit with the call sign “Hasan ”, commander of the 427th separate regiment of unmanned systems “Rarog. “
He explains his opinion calmly and a little tired: he has joined the air of NV radio, returning from the front where his regiment continues to carry out combat missions.

“It’s no secret to anyone: many of us call, including from abroad: they are interested in how to create (UAV units) what and how to do, – admits Oleg Guit. – The story is that no one has done it before. And how did it all begin? Many commanders at their level, not even a mouth, but some small infantry unit with machine guns in their hands, invested in this case to be more effective. “
But now, he says when the state “harnessed “in the development of unmanned systems, profile military units have received much better security, they are helped at all levels.
Do the UAV crews feel and their commanders that they are creating history now? Hassan believes that there is no time for it.

It all started in March 2022. Oleg Guit, who lived in the Czech Republic for five years, returned home without hesitation to join the Armed Forces. He chose the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo, because his father served in it.
Hassan already had combat experience: in 2014-2016 he commanded a mortar platoon. Therefore, in the Royal Brigade, he also headed a mortar platoon and performed combat missions in Popasna in Luhansk region.
The first few drones of Mavic 2, the platoon of Oleg Guit, was purchased to adjust mortar fire. Improvement and reducing the costs of mines motivated fighters. In addition, thanks to the drones, they saw the results of their work. In the video from the Mavicians, artillerymen first saw the enemies destroyed by them.
“The first Russians we used to do and have suffered are made possible by air intelligence,” Guit sums up.
When moved to a more modern model “MAVIC 3 »then began to set the discharges on it (ammunition reset systems – ed.) And to form additional crews of operators. They worked in the area of the cities of Golden and Mountain in Luhansk region. And in the Kherson region, the fighters of the 24th OMB, meanwhile, destroyed the first two Russian BMPs.
Meanwhile, in the summer of 2022, there were few still believed in the Armed Forces in the Armed Forces. Operators had to rely on handy materials and their own ingenuity.

The real confidence in the potential of UAVs in the Armed Forces was felt in 2023. Unmanned systems have long been considered only an additional means of damage, but later became the main one. Hassan, who held the position of chief of artillery of the battalion, was instructed to create a separate company of percussion drones.
At the same time, the name of the unit, which has survived, emerged.
According to legend, a rave is a weapon of gods: a spirit born of a fiery whirlwind in the form of a falcon or a lightning like a bird of prey. It is difficult to find the best name for the mouthpiece.
Rarog was justified in full: over 2500 invaders, 96 enemy tanks, more than 100 artillery systems, 150 combat armored vehicles, about 900 units of other equipment and transport were destroyed during the whole time.
During its existence “Rarog ”caused the enemy to over one hundred million dollars, fully paying all the costs of equipment and equipment. The way Verkhnotoretskoye – Avdiivka in the Royal Brigade jokingly called “Rarog’s road. ” One day, the Dronars of the battalion with jewelry discharges of anti -tank mines were torn off by the nomination of the Russian column: from 12 departments 11 led to the blasting of enemy equipment.

A motivated recruit can count on comprehensive preparation. The Rarog has an “Internal” UAV School, through which recruits pass after the training center before joining the front units. The best crews of “Rarog” here convey their practical experience, after which new crews undergo combat coordination with departures to positions.

“It is necessary to replace people with work,” Hasan argues. – This is the modern war! We will not take the enemy by the number. He has people – like manure … And we have people valuable. The infantryman should be taken from under the impact and put a job in his place. Scalable Killzone for the Russians on the entire front

Part of the answer to this question is the Drone Line – is the initiative of the President of Ukraine, which should scale the experience of the most effective unmanned units of the Ukrainian army. The main idea of the project is to combine infantry and UAV into a single combat system, scaling on the entire front the experience of five of the best regiments and brigades of unmanned systems, which are part of the Land Forces (“K-2”, “Achilles”, “Rarog” and “Magyara Birds”) and the State Border Service (“Phoenix”).
The result will be the protection of Ukrainian soldiers who keep the front edge; And for the occupiers it will mean creating a zone of unconditional destruction (killzone) to a depth of 10–15 kilometers from the collision line.
The future of the Russian-Ukrainian war depends on weapons, on the efficient use of technologies, on quality management. But most of all – from people: those who are ready to take a weapon or remote and give a fight to Russian invaders.
