Today, Sunday, December 21, 2025, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine published updated recommendations for international passenger and cargo carriers bound for Moldova and Romania.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
The key route remains the road M-15 “Odesa — Reni” which is currently experiencing an increased load due to logistical needs and the security situation. The authorities emphasize the need to plan trips in advance, as the capacity of this route is limited in certain areas.
In order to regulate traffic and avoid traffic jams on the approaches to the border, a strict requirement has been introduced: both trucks and buses must be registered in the system “it’s the turn” . This applies to nine main checkpoints in the Odesa region:
-
On the border with Romania: ferry crossing “Orlivka – Isaccia”.
-
On the border with Moldova: “Palanka – Mayaki – Udobne”, “Reni – Giurgiulesti”, “Starokozache – Tudora”, as well as the points “Tabaki”, “Vynogradivka”, “Maloyaroslavets”, “Serpneve” and “Novi Troyani”.
The profile ministry urges drivers to allow additional time for traveling from Odesa to checkpoints, as the condition of the M-15 highway and the large number of roadblocks can cause delays that are not taken into account by the main schedule of the “eCherga” system. For trucks transiting to Moldova, alternative checkpoints in Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia regions are currently available and operating in an enhanced mode. This allows to somewhat relieve the southern direction, which is critically important for export logistics.
Despite the update of driving conditions, the mode of operation of checkpoints remains 24 hours a day, but drivers should remember the effect of the curfew in the Odesa region and carry all the necessary permits for cargo or passenger transportation.
We will remind you that on the Odesa-Reni highway, due to the damaged bridge, there were queues on the border with Moldova.
Traffic on the M-15 Odesa — Reni highway in the Odesa region has been fully restored after Russian shelling.
