The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a bill proposing to delay one year the opening of access to the declarations of persons who protect the state.
This initiative applies to military personnel and other categories of defenders, reported In the Ministry of Defense.
According to the current legislation, declarations should be opened the next day after the end of the martial law. However, if the bill comes into force, access to this data will be delayed to one year after martial law.
The main purpose of changes is to protect the military and their families from the possible risks associated with the publication of their personal data. In particular, it is about information about family members and a place of residence that can be used by the enemy. Thus, the bill is intended to strengthen the safety of the defenders of Ukraine and their loved ones.
