The government promised additional volumes of electricity for Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories, together with the Ministry of Energy, have started implementing a plan to increase electricity limits for the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Ministry of Reconstruction, said in a telegram that the region needs a special approach due to its status as a front-line hub, where powerful military logistics and strategically important industry are concentrated. The main goal of the initiative is to ensure stable operation of the economy and critical infrastructure, despite constant threats from the aggressor.

Despite regular attacks on energy facilities, it is currently possible to maintain a stable heat supply in the communities of the region. Special attention is paid to Kryvyi Rih, where the modernization of networks and the installation of cogeneration units allowed to minimize the risks of heat blackouts. Load balancing involves the redistribution of capacity in such a way that the industrial giants of the region can continue to work without critical damage to household consumers and social facilities – hospitals and schools.

The government is considering the possibility of introducing additional communication lines and mobile generating capacity to mitigate the effects of possible future strikes. Kuleba emphasized that the predictability of energy supply is a key factor not only for getting through the winter, but also for maintaining the country’s defense capability, as Dnipropetrovsk plays the role of the main rear support for several directions of the front.
