The government approved the draft law, which provides for the liquidation of medical and social expert commissions (MSEK) from January 1. Instead of MSEK, there will be teams of practicing doctors who will work in the strongest hospitals of a capable network of medical institutions.
According to the Ministry of Health, the new system will provide a digital assessment of a person’s functional state.
Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko emphasized that the existing MSEK system is outdated, corrupt and does not meet people’s needs, therefore the Ministry supports its reform.
“People who have functional impairments must receive support from the state for a full life and work, integration into society. The new system should be transparent and convenient for citizens. This is the first and important stage of realizing our vision,” Lyashko noted.
