The government has developed action algorithms at the regional level to limit gas supply.
This was stated by the Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk, informs press service ministries
“We have ready action algorithms for limiting, reconnecting or changing gas supply routes. All areas are informed and technically ready for any scenario. We hope that the restrictions will not be necessary, but the readiness is there,” Grynchuk said.
According to her, all technical solutions for prompt response in case of damage to the gas transport infrastructure have already been worked out and brought to the regions.
She reminded that the gas infrastructure became one of the targets of Russian attacks in the last two months, but the work to restore the damaged facilities continues.
The head of the Ministry of Energy also stated that Ukraine’s energy system remains stable and controlled despite daily Russian attacks, and restoration work in the affected regions continues.
“The situation in the power system is under control and remains stable even with such complex shelling and damage. The situation in Chernihiv region is the most difficult at the moment, where energy facilities are attacked almost every day. Now there are three rounds of hourly outages, but we expect that after the completion of repair work in the coming days, the situation will stabilize,” said Grynchuk.
At the same time, all regions have capacity restrictions for industrial consumers, which allows balancing the system’s operation during peak hours of consumption. In this context, the minister reminded that companies can import electricity from EU countries to avoid restrictions.
We will remind you that the government increased the price of gas for four categories of consumers.
Ukraine is also looking for funds for gas after the Russian attacks.
The drop in temperature caused an increase in electricity consumption in Ukraine by more than 20% since the beginning of October.
