Dmitry Makarenko worked at the 2011 State Aviation Service for 2014, and later held the position of leading specialist of the department of consideration of appeals and reception of citizens of the State Land Agency in the Kiev region.
During 2014-2020 he went from the chief specialist to the director of the Department of International Cooperation and the Land Market of the State Geocadastre, and from 2020 to 2022 he held the position of senior researcher of SE “Research Institute of Geodesy and Cartography”.
In 2022, Makarenko became the deputy chairman of the State Geocadastre, and since August 2023 he headed the service in the status of acting.
The position of head of the State Geocadastre was vacant since December 2020, when the previous chairman Roman Leshchenko became Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.
