What are the benefits of utility bills
A privilege is a legally defined right of some of the Ukrainians to a discount or full compensation for expenses within the established social standards. In the sphere of utility than it can be a discount on payment:
- water;
- gas;
- electricity;
- heating;
- Quarters.
Benefits depend on the category of privileged and family income. They can be:
- partial or full (eg 25% or 50% or 100%);
- only on the privileged person or his family members as well;
- Given or without income.
In general, Ukrainians can receive benefits from the following services:
- residential – services for managing an apartment building;
- communal;
- subscriber service (for consumers of utilities provided under individual contracts, as well as the cost of managing an apartment building (which created condominiums or housing and communal services) and costs of utilities in such a house);
- for the purchase of solid fuel and liquefied gas.
Who is eligible for benefits
The right to privileges in Ukraine have certain categories of persons, in particular:
- participants of hostilities, persons with disabilities as a result of war;
- large families;
- families of fallen defenders and defenders;
- pensioners who worked in rural areas (in education, medicine, libraries, etc.);
- victims of the Chornobyl disaster and the like.
“If there are several people in one household, they are provided to one of them – to those who have a higher percentage of discounts,” the department explained.
How to design benefits
You can apply for privileges:
- at the Service Center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU);
- by mail;
- through the PFU mobile application;
- through the electronic office on the PFC electronic service portal.
Applications with the necessary documents are accepted:
- authorized officials of the executive body of the village, settlement, city council of the respective territorial community or military administration;
- Officials of administrative services (CNAPs), which transmit them within three working days from the date of their receipt of the structural unit for social protection of the population / PFU body.
“Before that, you need to be entered in the register of persons entitled to privileges,” the government added.
The UN is preparing a new one -time financial aid in Ukraine. It is intended for residents of the frontline regions for the purchase of solid furnace fuel and will amount to UAH 19,400 per household in the 2025-2026 season.
