10 billion hryvnias have been laid down in the state budget for the implementation of the “Health Screening 40+” program.
Health Minister Viktor Lyashko announced this on TV, Ukrinform reports.
“For the program “Health Screening 40+” in the budget for next year, 10 billion hryvnias are provided,” Lyashko noted.
According to him, the program will be available to all Ukrainians over the age of 40. People will receive a screening notification one month after their birthday. It will be possible to order a special card through the “Diya” application or in the TsNAP, after which it will receive funds that can be used for certain instrumental and laboratory tests and examinations by doctors.
Lyashko clarified that the program is focused on early detection of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and mental health disorders – the most common causes of death in Ukraine.
“Cardiovascular diseases in recent years have been leading the ranks of disability in our country. Therefore, our task is to detect changes in the body as early as possible in order to start preventive or curative measures in time,” said the minister.
He added that the screening will be available in public and private medical facilities that meet the requirements of the Medical Guarantee Program.
Ukrainians after the age of 40 will be given 2,000 hryvnias for a free health check-up.
