Orfin confirmed that 65-year-old man died in the Lviv Regional Infectious Hospital. For several days the patient was in intensive care. It is noteworthy that this is the first fatal case due to coronavirus since the beginning of 2025.
“Severe pneumonia was also confirmed by a pneumonia and in a patanatomical study. The man had a number of comorbidities that complicated the course of the disease, ”the doctor said.
He also added that the man was not vaccinated, but lived in one of the areas of the region. The doctor added that adults and children with coronavirus continue to come to the medical institution against the backdrop of the outbreak of new Nimbus and Stratus.
As of August 18, 50 children and 24 adults were in the Lviv Regional Infectious Hospital. Children have not been vaccinated, among adults – a minimum percentage.
