On April 12, a landmark event took place in Uzhgorod – the opening of the first restaurant of McDonald’s international network in Transcarpathia. It is not only the first network in the region, but also the only one in Ukraine that will work around the clock.

Opening has created more than 80 new jobs with official employment, competitive wages and professional development. The mayor of Uzhgorod Bogdan Andriyev called this event an important signal for investors and confirmation of the security and prospects of the city.

The peculiarity of the new institution is that it will work 24 hours a day. It is the first network restaurant in Ukraine with such a schedule after the start of a full -scale invasion of Russia.
According to the head of the Transcarpathian Ova Miroslav Biletsky, another McDonald’s is planned to open in Mukachevo.
On the eve of the opening, the company organized a charity event for children from preferential categories.
In total, after the war, McDonald’s opened 23 new restaurants in Ukraine, including Uzhgorod. In 2024, the company paid UAH 2.6 billion to the country’s budget.
