This was stated by the Minister of International Cooperation in the Field of Development and Foreign Trade of Sweden Benjamin Dowus, RAI News reports.
“Sweden continues to increase its support for Ukraine, and with this new agreement becomes the first EU country to provide additional funds through Ukraine Facility to strengthen the country’s national budget”– said Daw.
He stressed that economic stability is a prerequisite for Ukraine to continue to pay salaries and pensions, as well as to provide health care, schools and social services.
“This is important for Ukraine’s sustainability and the ability to continue to defend against Russian aggression. I am very proud that Sweden, being the first country, takes this step and opens the way for other states, both inside the EU and beyond”– the minister said.
Ukraine Facility– Financial Support Program Ukraine from European Union for 50 billions euro in 2024 – 2027 years that will be directed to funding State Budget of Ukraine incentives investments as well as technical support in the implementation of the program.
