Investigators of the Desnyansk Police Department exposed the head of one of the departments of the local administration education department in the wasting of budget funds.

Criminal proceedings are conducted under the procedural leadership of the Desnyansk District Prosecutor’s Office. The involvement is charged with the task of losses to the local budget for the amount of almost half a million hryvnias.
During the pre -trial investigation, law enforcement officers found that the suspect on behalf of the Department of Education concluded an agreement with a private company for the purchase of contactless infrared thermometers in an out -of -competitive manner.
Under the terms of the agreement, the cost of one device was 1500 UAH. 690 thousand hryvnias for a batch of thermometers for schools and kindergartens were transferred from the local budget to the supplier’s account.
Police found that at the time of purchase, the market value of one new contactless infrared thermometer was only UAH 506.85. This is three times less than the price specified in the Education Office.
Thus, due to the overestimation of the cost of equipment to the local budget, losses of about half a million hryvnias were caused.
We will remind, the prosecutors of the Shevchenkivsky District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv were informed of suspicion to two persons who are accused of attempting fraud in particularly large sizes.
