Thus, the European currency overcame the psychological mark of 51 hryvnias. Against the background of such growth, market participants and bank clients are closely monitoring the further dynamics of the exchange rate on the eve of February.

On January 26, the euro sale rate in such banks as “PrivatBank”, “Oschadbank”, “Raiffeizen Bank Ukraine”, “Ukreximbank”, “PUMB”, OTP Bank and others was at the level of 51.1-51.6 hryvnias. For example, at “PrivatBank” the selling rate is 51.50 hryvnias, at “Oschadbank” – also 51.5 hryvnias. Exchange rates for buying Eurozone currency in banks fluctuate between 50-50.9 hryvnias.
On January 26, the average selling rate of the euro at exchange offices and bank counters increased by 43 kopecks compared to the morning of January 23 (51.00 hryvnias) and reached 51.43 hryvnias.
As of the morning of January 26, the average selling rate of the dollar remained at the level of the previous working day and amounted to 43.45 hryvnias.
In exchange offices, the dollar is bought at an average of 42.90 hryvnias (unchanged since January 23), the euro at 50.63 hryvnias (+0.30 hryvnias).
Interbank exchange rate
The value of the euro by the end of trading on January 23 on the interbank market increased by 6-7 kopecks – to 50.66-50.69 hryvnias (buy-sell), and the dollar rate decreased by 3-4 kopecks – to 43.13-43.16 hryvnias.
The NBU is intensifying the fight against shadow financial transactions.
It will be recalled that Ukraine’s international reserves reached a record $57.3 billion.
Also, the official dollar exchange rate for January 26 was set at UAH 43.13, which is 3 kopecks less compared to January 23 (UAH 43.16).
