The stage implementation of EES in the European Union started on October 12 – this system automates the fixation of biometric data during entry and exit and should increase the speed and accuracy of control.
Within the Ukrainian direction, three car checkpoints have already been attached to the EES: “Shehyni”, “Solotvyno” and “Luzhanka” – “mass” of one -time connection of all transitions was not planned.
This approach allows you to work out technical processes and load on infrastructure without negative impact on passenger traffic.
According to Demchenko, the first days of work of the system showed the stability of its functioning – “no complications or failures were recorded.”
Upgrading procedures involves replacing traditional stamps in passports by electronic intersection, which should minimize errors and abuse, as well as facilitate the analysis of migration data.
In the future, this will reduce the process of processing during repeated trips due to the biometric data already collected in the system.
The context of changes is important for travelers, because the new rules apply to all third -country citizens who enter the EU through external borders, including Ukrainians traveling visa.
The automated entry/exit system “EES” records data during each intersection and makes it impossible to put physical stamps that eliminates queues related to paper procedures.
Changes are consistent with the broad European trend of transition to digital verification of documents and biometry at the border.
Recall that the EU will allocate additional € 100 million winter care to Ukraine.
The EU will also allocate € 10 million to the creation of a Russian aggression crime.
