The director of the private company was notified of the suspicion of misappropriation of state funds during the reconstruction of hydraulic equipment in Chornomorsk, Odesa region.
According to the investigation, in July 2018, the head of the company submitted an offer to participate in the tender of the state enterprise and concluded a contract for the amount of UAH 88.6 million. The state enterprise remitted an advance in the amount of half of the contract, but the work was not completed.
The director of the company transferred the received funds to the private account of the founder of the company abroad, thereby causing losses to the state of more than UAH 43 million.
The investigation is ongoing, currently the issue of selecting a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved.
Previously, cyber security experts discovered a site on the Internet that imitated the appearance and structure of the official website of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
