But what if the results of NMT/EIT are not present, and this year the entrant was unable to overcome the minimum threshold of points in one subject, and thus lost the opportunity to participate in the introductory campaign in higher education institutions?

Path 1. Introduction to colleges
If the entrant made up but did not make NMT, he has the right to join the institutions of professional higher education, that is, colleges. In this case, in three years (mostly 2 years 10 months) he will receive the educational degree of “professional junior bachelor”, receiving the specialty, selected at the entrance.
After that, the college graduate can also continue to obtain higher education by joining the institution of higher education for a short term of study.
To admission to the college, applicants must draw up a creative competition (in certain specialties) or to undergo an individual interview in the educational institution. The educational institution independently determines the form of such an interview, that is, in essence it is internal entrance tests. In some colleges, it may have an oral exam, some in testing with certain subjects, etc.
Also, entrants who plan to study exclusively on the contract can only enter the results of consideration of the motivational letter.
Applications for colleges may apply from July 5 to 26.
An additional contract is possible, provided that you enroll no later than October 20.
Path 2. Introduction to vocational
Also, without the results of NMT, you can enter vocational education institutions and get the first profession for a year and a half.
For competitive selection, the stages of which each vocational defines independently, usually use a school certificate of education (certificate). That is, the rating of entrants is formed at the average score of a document on complete secondary education.
Path 3. Gap year
Gap Year or Post Graduate Year is a “free” year between school release and university entry. This practice is not too common in Ukraine, but is quite popular in Europe and America.
Such a year is used as a break between the transition from one type of learning to another. During this time, the entrant can decide what he wants to do after graduating from the educational institution and as he sees his later life.
The “free” year can be used for volunteering, travel, temporary work that will help to decide on the preferences and the subsequent field with which the entrant wants to associate his life.
This time can be devoted to informal education, that is, courses, online learning.
There are also special programs for GAP Year. They usually last from semester to one year, and as a result of such a program, the graduate can go to study abroad.
In addition, this year can be devoted to better preparation for entrance exams next year. Independent preparation with the ZNO-online site or tutors will allow you to get the best result next year and enter the dreamy university, but a little later.
