According to Zelensky, he had a telephone conversation with Denmark Prime Minister Matte Frederixen. The head of the Ukrainian state thanked for the tangible and strong support of Ukraine, which increases the country’s defense capability.
One of the topics of the conversation was the European integration of Ukraine. In particular, the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Denmark discussed the opening of the first negotiation cluster.
“Now Denmark is presiding on the EU Council. We need to use this time as much as possible to implement all the necessary solutions, ”Zelensky added.
He assured that Ukraine is doing everything to fulfill its obligations to the EU. In particular, the Council was submitted to the Council, which guarantees the independence of anti -corruption bodies.
“I am grateful to Denmark for his support. We agreed that the Parliament should vote for this bill immediately, this week, ”the President said.
Zelensky and Frederixen also agreed on future contacts – both bilateral and broadly international formats.
We will remind, on July 22 Zelensky signed a law that limits the authority of NABU and SAP and expands the functions of the Prosecutor General. This caused a wave of protests.
Due to the pressure of the event on July 23, Zelensky stated that he would prepare a new bill that would guarantee the independence of anti -corruption infrastructure. On July 24, he prepared a bill and brought it to the Verkhovna Rada.
