The dollar rose in price at the beginning of the week

The dollar exchange rate in Ukrainian exchange offices continued to grow. The cash dollar goes up following the increase in prices on the interbank. This is evidenced by market monitoring conducted by RBC-Ukraine. As of the morning of January 6, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 20 kopecks to 42.70 hryvnias, the euro rate increased by 55 kopecks to 44.25 hryvnias. The dollar exchange rate in Ukrainian exchange offices continued to grow. The cash dollar goes up following the increase in prices on the interbank.

This is evidenced by market monitoring conducted by RBC-Ukraine.

As of the morning of January 6, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 20 kopecks to 42.70 hryvnias, the euro rate increased by 55 kopecks to 44.25 hryvnias.

Dollars are bought at exchange offices for an average of 42.20 hryvnias, euros for 43.55 hryvnias.

At the interbank exchange rate today is at the level of UAH 42.15-42.18/dollar (buy-sell) – an increase of 4 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.

We will remind that the demand for the currency decreased sharply at the beginning of 2025. The National Bank reduced sales from reserves to cover the structural deficit of the currency.

At the end of October, the National Bank of Ukraine sold 707.9 million dollars on the interbank foreign exchange market without purchasing foreign currency.
