As of the morning of December 30, the average selling rate of the dollar in exchange offices increased by 7 kopecks compared to December 29 and is 42.51 hryvnias, while the euro rate increased by 1 kopeck – to 50.12 hryvnias.
In exchange offices, the dollar is bought at an average price of 41.96 hryvnias (+0.06 hryvnias compared to the rate of the previous working day), the euro at 49.45 hryvnias (+0.07 hryvnias).
At the interbank, as a result of trading on December 29, the dollar exchange rate was at the level of 42.28 – 42.31 hryvnias per dollar (buying and selling), which is 17-18 kopecks higher than the closing of the trading session on December 26. The interbank exchange rate for the euro was 49.83-49.85 hryvnias, which is 20-21 kopecks higher than the exchange rate on December 26.
Course analysis for the entire year 2025
A number of expert economic organizations (Dragon Capital, Concorde Capital, Forbes Research, ICU, KSE, Oxford Economics, WIW and analyst Olga Pogarska) believe that the average exchange rate of the dollar for 2025 will be 41.7 hryvnias, which is 1.5 hryvnias higher than the actual values for 2024 (40.2 hryvnias), according to a survey conducted by the Center for Economic Strategy.
As of the end of 2025, the average exchange rate will be 42.4 hryvnias, which is only 0.4 hryvnias higher than the same indicator as of December 31, 2024.
This study indicates that the maximum analyst forecast is 41.7 hryvnias per dollar (the average exchange rate for 2025) and 43 hryvnias (the value at the end of this year).
The day before, exchange offices recorded an increase in the exchange rate of the dollar and the euro.
