He noted that in order to start the extradition process, it is necessary to carry out a number of investigative actions, to obtain relevant decisions, in particular from the High Anti-Corruption Court. It is about choosing a preventive measure for Mindich.
Kryvonos noted that the Ukrainian law enforcement officers will take the necessary measures so that Mindich is declared an international wanted man and detained.
The NABU director also commented on whether Mindich’s extradition from Israel is real, provided that he has an Israeli passport.
“There are cases when Israel extradited its citizens to other states. There are legal issues involved, but it’s not an entirely impossible story. We will work on it,” he added.
Kryvonos noted that those involved in criminal cases usually do not stay in one place, they want to go abroad, visit European countries. Therefore, according to him, it is necessary to do everything so that Mindich is declared an international wanted person and that the law enforcement officers and Interpol have an orientation towards his detention when crossing the border of another state.
