The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution according to which the “State Rear Operator” (DOT) will provide the State Special Transport Service (SST) with food, property, and fuel and lubricants. From now on, the Defense Procurement Agency will take over the full procurement cycle, while the DSST will focus on creating lists and determining the required volumes of goods and services.

Financing of these needs will be carried out within the current annual budget of the State Special Transport Service, which amounts to about UAH 2.9 billion. When purchasing, the specifics of the service will be taken into account: products will be supplied in sets, and tangible property – in accordance with the functional features of the DSST.
Control over the quality of supplied goods is entrusted to the Main Department of State Quality Assurance. The transfer of rear support functions to a specialized agency aims to free the DSST from non-core expenses and allow units to concentrate on combat and special tasks.
The share of domestic production in the procurement of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine during the year increased from 46% to 82%.
The Defense Procurement Agency handed over the first batch of hygiene kits for the wounded to military hospitals. A total of 50,000 sets with a total cost of UAH 26 million were delivered.
