According to the investigation, the commander of one of the military units, through the mediator – the nurse of this part – transferred $ 2,000 to the head of the VLK for passing the commission even without his participation. The commission required this money to “find” a light illness that would not allow him to transfer it to the front, but would not lead to dismissal from military service.
The fact of the transfer of money and medical documents was recorded by the investigators of the bureau in the framework of the investigation of criminal proceedings against the chairman of the Military Medical Commission of one of the medical institutions of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The colonel was informed about the suspicion of transferring the wrongful benefit to the employee, so that, using her official position, he would do something in his interests (Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The medical sister was also informed of suspicion of awards in providing undue benefit (Part 5 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In case of guilt of the Colonel of the State Border Service and his mediator, he threatens up to eight years in prison.
