The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, reported on the successful discussion of further military aid with the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel. The key topic of the conversation was the implementation of the large-scale projectile “Czech initiative”, which has already proven its effectiveness by providing the Ukrainian Defense Forces with 1.8 million rounds of ammunition.

Zelensky confirmed in Telegram that additional deliveries of projectiles are expected before the end of the current year, which should strengthen the stability of the front.

In addition to current shipments, the leaders of the states discussed strategic planning for 2026. Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that the potential to provide Ukrainian defenders with the necessary amount of ammunition for the next year is already being formed. An important part of the dialogue was the situation on the battlefield, in particular the successful operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kupyansk, which, according to the president, clearly demonstrated to the world the real state of affairs and the inconsistency of Moscow’s rhetoric with actual events.

Zelensky emphasized that the effective defense of positions by Ukrainian soldiers is the foundation for all diplomatic work in the international arena. Support from Peter Pavel, who closely monitors the operational situation, helps to synchronize military needs with political efforts. The implementation of all agreements within the framework of the “Czech initiative” remains a priority task for both countries in order to achieve stable peace and protect sovereignty.

It is known that part of the funds received from the income from Russian assets frozen in the European Union will be used to supply ammunition to Ukraine as part of the Czech initiative to purchase shells for the Armed Forces.

The Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic announced that it is preparing to launch a new initiative to supply Ukraine with artillery ammunition.
