Law enforcement officers officially warn citizens that the first driver’s license, which is issued for a period of two years, cannot be obtained by mail or issued remotely.

About this writes Cyber police .

In social networks, there are more and more advertisements promising to produce a document online without the presence of a service center, but such offers are a fraudulent scheme. Criminals aim to extort money and personal data from users by sending fake forms in return, which have no legal effect and do not appear in government registries.

According to the current legislation of Ukraine, the first driver’s license is issued exclusively in person at the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. To obtain it, the candidate must successfully pass a practical exam and present a citizen’s passport, while obtaining a document by proxy is also prohibited. Mail delivery is only available for procedures for exchanging or renewing an existing license, provided that it was previously entered in the Driver’s Electronic Cabinet or Diya application.

Unlike many other administrative services that have been successfully digitized in Ukraine, the procedure for the initial issuance of licenses requires personal confirmation of driving skills for the safety of all road users. The Cyber Police reminds that the use of forged documents entails criminal liability. Citizens are urged to ignore offers of “fast registration” and to report suspicious ads by calling 102 or through the department’s official website.

Earlier in Kyiv, swindlers swindled a 74-year-old pensioner out of over 1 million 400 thousand UAH in different currencies, under the guise of allegedly checking the money by the special service for involvement in the aggressor country.

Previously, three people from Kyiv and Odesa organized a fraudulent scheme for the sale of quadcopters for the Ukrainian military. Funds for the “goods” were sent to fictitious accounts, but the customers never received the drones.
