Scelnikov, according to investigation materials, killed Parubiy on August 30 in the center of Lviv, firing eight shots. His murder caused a wide resonance in society.

The Security Service of Ukraine reported that the suspect was recruited by Russian curators, as evidenced by his phone conversations. Also found pistol from which Parubius was killed.
