The Novomykolaiv district court of the Zaporizhia region significantly reduced the amount of bail for the former commander of the 155th brigade, Dmytro Ryumshin, from 8 million to 908,000 hryvnias. The required amount has already been paid, so the colonel should soon be released from custody.

About this reported lawyer Andrii Yosypov.

According to the defender, the required amount has already been paid by the mortgagors. Ryumshin should be released from custody in the near future.

Yosypov drew attention to how statements regarding the case have changed significantly since the beginning of the year.

“At that time, the SBI communications advisor Tetyana Sapyan announced in a telethon about the exposure of a whole “scheme with evaders” who were allegedly sent abroad. The SBI also replicated theses about the complete absence of reports from the commander regarding offenses and “massive criminal activity.”

To date, the indictment does not contain these high-profile accusations:

  • No “corruption schemes” or episodes with “evaders” are incriminated by the investigation.
  • The number of episodes under investigation has tripled since the initial report of the suspicion.
  • The qualification has been changed: instead of willful inaction, it refers to negligence of the service in relation to part of the circumstances.

What was presented as a sensation by the State Bureau of Investigation, did not find its confirmation in the brought charges, which, in turn, also do not withstand criticism,” the lawyer explained.

The court reduced the bail of the ex-commander of the 155th brigade.

Earlier, the Kyiv Court of Appeals kept Dmytro Ryumshin, the ex-commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade named after Anna of Kyiv, in custody. At the same time, his bail was reduced from 90 to 50 million hryvnias.

The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, has already commented on the situation surrounding the 155th separate mechanized brigade “Anna Kyivska”.
