It turned out that in 2021-2022 the tax service calculated him a debt from real estate tax. The Metropolitan Representative in court found non -payment, but stated that his client could not pay off the debt because of the state imposed sanctions that blocked assets and stopped financial transactions.
The defense asked to suspend the case before the Supreme Court of Pavel against the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, in which he was trying to challenge the decree on personal sanctions. The court refused, explaining that the sanctions did not exempt from the obligation to pay taxes and repay the debts.
