The higher anti-corruption court chose a preventive measure in the form of an arrest for former People’s Deputy Dmytro Kryuchkov, who is accused in the case of the appropriation of more than UAH 1.5 billion from the Cherkasioblenergo and Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo companies. He has been spending them abroad since February.
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reports this in Telegram. The court decided to conduct a special trial (in absentia) against Kryuchkov, since the specified defendant left Ukraine in February 2024.
As reported, in October 2024, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (SAC) partially granted the request of the SAP prosecutor and declared ex-Nardeput Dmytro Kryuchkov on the international wanted list. In October 2021, the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office referred to the court the case regarding the criminal activities of the holding company “Energomerezh”, the chairman of the board of which was the former People’s Deputy Dmytro Kryuchkov.
Kryuchkova was charged with organizing the seizure of PJSC “Cherkasioblenergo” and PJSC “Zaporizhjiaoblenergo” funds and their legalization, as well as abuse of office.
The law enforcement officers also searched the offices of the former assistant to the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Vadym Stolar and the former deputy of the Kyiv City Council Leonid Kryuchkov in the case of embezzlement of funds for the food of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
