Law enforcement agencies informed the suspects of the case regarding illegal evasion of mobilization in the Dnipro district TCC and Kyiv city SP. The investigation is based on materials collected after UA.NEWS publications about a possible corruption scheme for issuing certificates of the military medical commission without actually passing the VLK.
The investigation calls citizen Petro Melnyk, who is believed to be the organizer of the scheme, to be the key figure in the case. According to law enforcement officers, Melnyk not only used the illegal mechanism himself, but also involved other persons, whom he helped to avoid mobilization and organized their departure abroad.
Based on the totality of the evidence, Petr Melnyk was notified of suspicion under Part 3 and Part 4 of Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, as well as under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. On January 21, 2026, by the decision of the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv, a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest was applied to Melnyk.
Earlier, Moldova announced and in the search for Pyotr Melnyk, he is the one involved investigation UA.NEWS regarding mobilization evasion schemes in the Dnipro TCC of Kyiv. The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Moldova established the fact of illegal crossing of the border by Petro Melnyk, he was declared wanted on the charge of violation of the border regime.
