Up to 7 years, a Kharkiv resident was convicted of lattice, who gave Russian blows to his own city.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the court proved that at the end of December 2023, an employee of one of the enterprises was offered a “cooperation” by a representative of the Russian Federation – Kharkiv resident in his field of view through his comments of anti -Ukrainian orientation in Telegram chats.
The convicted person sought the location of Ukrainian defenders and military equipment in the regional center and surrounding settlements, asking the necessary information from colleagues, acquaintances. He also carefully studied users’ comments in various Telegram channels, monitored social networks and systematize this data to prepare as accurately as accurate “Report” for the curator. He sent data in the form of appropriate marks on maps, photographs and text messages.
The man did not hide his pro -Russian views and shared them with his associates in the appropriate chat. He spoke negatively about Ukrainian defenders, repeating Kremlin propaganda fakes and thus trying to discredit the Armed Forces.
Law enforcement officers exposed the Kharkiv resident in April 2024, when he tried to collect data for the Russian curator again. He was in custody in court. During the trial, the man did not admit his guilt.
The court found the citizen guilty of unauthorized dissemination of information on the location of the Armed Forces and the spread of materials that denied the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 114-2, Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
