People’s Deputy, member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Fedir Venislavskyi stated this in an interview with Radio NV.
According to Venislavskyi, the idea remains debatable, as it is closely related to the existing shadow schemes of evading mobilization.
“And one of the proposals to translate it into a legal channel is so that people who want to redeem themselves have the opportunity to get a (highly paid, – ed.) job with appropriate deductions to the budget. And this is an alternative (get rid of, – ed.) from these shadowy schemes.”
However, he emphasized that the parliament has doubts about this issue, related to unequal access to resources and opportunities.
“Today, I do not see that there is a sufficient number of votes in the parliament to support such an economic reservation. Because this is another watershed between those who have a good job, who have money, and those who don’t have such money,” the People’s Deputy concluded.
We would like to remind you that by November 15, Ukraine must conduct an audit of critical infrastructure enterprises that received such status from local self-government bodies. Military personnel should be included in the commission. If the enterprise turns out to be “not critical for the state”, then it can remain without a reservation. The reservation is not suspended during the check.
