Main types of assistance

Assistance at the birth of a child – UAH 50,000 for each child; is given to one of the parents or a guardian who lives with the child.

Baby package – provided in kind or monetary compensation, from the 36th week of pregnancy to 3 months after the birth of the child.

Assistance to pregnant women and women in labor without insurance experience – UAH 7,000/month.

Allowance for caring for a child up to 1 year old – UAH 7,000/month, 50% more for children with disabilities.

YeYasla assistance – up to UAH 8,000/month. for children from 1 to 3 years; increases for children with disabilities.

YesSadok assistance – up to UAH 8,000/month. for children from 3 to 6 years (up to 7 years for children with special needs).
The “Student’s Package” will be paid in the amount of UAH 5,000 for the purchase of school supplies, books, clothes and shoes for first-graders.
Assistance is granted on the basis of an application with copies of a birth certificate or a decision to establish guardianship. If two or more children are born, payments are made for each child separately. In the event of a stillborn child, the benefit is not paid.
The new payments will come into effect on January 1, 2026, and their amount will be established annually by the State Budget Law.
On August 19, the Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading draft law 13532 on the payment of 50 thousand hryvnias to women for the birth of a child.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian government developed a new draft law, which provides for a radical reform of the system of support for families with children.
