The US agreement on the use of natural resources of Ukraine provides for payments from the state budget. The Council approved amendments to the Budget Code.
About it reports People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram.
According to him, the project №13256 was supported by 309 people’s deputies.
Amendments to the Budget Code are required to implement the provision on filling the US-Ukrainian Investment Fund for reconstruction.
The contribution of Ukraine will consist of half the funds received after the entry into force of the agreement from:
- annuities for mineral mining (oil, gas, gas condensate and everything specified in Annex A to the Agreement) from new licenses,
- Issuing new special permits to use subsoil,
- realization of the state part of products under new agreements on distribution of products.
This money will be counted into the special fund of the state budget and will be transferred to the reconstruction fund.
Earlier, the chairman of the budget committee of the Roksolana Podlas Council named the following procedure for contributions from Ukraine: about UAH 3 billion in 5 years.
“At least if the agreement was signed in 2019, it would be such a amount to the fund as a contribution of Ukraine to this time,” she wrote.
We will remind, on May 1, Ukraine and the United States signed an agreement on the creation of the US-Ukrainian investment fund. After that, on May 8, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the intergovernmental agreement. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on May 12, completing the ratification process.
Recall that on April 30 in Washington an agreement between US governments and Ukraine on the creation of the US-Ukrainian Investment Fund of Reconstruction does not detail a number of important provisions of bilateral cooperation and captures primarily basic, political parameters.
We also reported that Ukrainian deposits of rare earth fossils can cost up to $ 5 trillion, all minerals – from $ 15 to $ 30 trillion.
