The purpose of the delegation’s visit was to deepen cooperation, exchange experience and discuss further military assistance.
The visit lasted several days. During this time, the partners visited the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny, one of the training centers for units, command post and air defense control post.
The delegation also honored the fallen defenders of Ukraine near the walls of St. Michael’s Cathedral and on the Alley of Glory of the National Academy of Ground Forces in Lviv.
“Within the framework of the visit, a bilateral meeting was held, during which the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, thanked the French side for the systematic support and identified directions for deepening cooperation.
In turn, the commander of the Ground Forces of the French Republic expressed a desire to increase cooperation with the center for training units, in particular, in terms of studying the experience of training BpAK operators,” the communique states.
