The Half Partnership Agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom has officially entered into force.
The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk reported this during a visit to London.
On October 15, he handed over the Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament, Sir Lindsey Goil text of the agreement, the Ukrainian law on its ratification and a note on the start of the document.
Stefanchuk emphasized that this agreement does not start cooperation, but strengthens existing political and strategic links between states. It determines the mechanisms of security interaction, deepens military-industrial cooperation and promotes the development of economy, energy, education, science and reconstruction of Ukraine.
The Council speaker called the agreement a symbol of mutual trust and partnership of two peoples united by values of freedom, democracy and historical justice.
