Prosecutors sent the indictment to the court against a 40-year-old pseudo-activist from Lviv, who is accused of spreading information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fraud.

“The investigation established that in January 2024, the accused, positioning himself as an activist, during a live broadcast distributed information about the location of the personnel of one of the TCC departments in the Rivne region, indicating data that could contribute to the identification of military personnel in the area. He published the video recording of this broadcast on his Facebook and Telegram pages,” the message reads.
In addition, the pseudo-activist is accused of fraud. He organized “intensive courses” in journalism and human rights protection, promising participants a journalist’s certificate. The cost of the courses was UAH 7,000, but the newspaper from which the certificates were issued was unregistered, and the received documents had no legal force.
The accused is charged with 2 Art. 114-2 (Dissemination of information about the movement, movement or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) and ch. 2 Art. 190 (Fraud, committed repeatedly, or by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, or such that caused significant damage to the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

It will be recalled that the court sent Stakhiv, who is suspected of illegally disseminating the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fraud, to custody on November 2 without the possibility of posting bail. It was possible to make this decision on the fifth attempt.
On November 28, the pseudo-activist was extended the preventive measure and given the opportunity to make a deposit of 908 thousand hryvnias.
Supporters of Stakhiv immediately announced a fundraiser, they collected the required amount in less than a week.
In December 2024, the Lviv pseudo-activist Ostap Stakhiv was released from the pre-trial detention center after his supporters made a bail of 908,000 hryvnias for him.
