The DBR directed an indictment against the former chief of the Odessa regional shopping center Yevgeny Borisov. He is charged with laundering criminal property in the amount of more than UAH 140 million.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
It is indicated that the investigation has documented the facts of the acquisition of the families of prestigious vehicles in Ukraine with further export abroad, as well as the purchase of elite real estate outside the country for a total amount of more than UAH 190 million. In addition, a number of foreign bank accounts of his family members have been established and the movement of funds for which the property was purchased is traced.
The difference between the value of the acquired property and the legal income of the person involved and his family exceeds UAH 140 million (the total amount of assets is 142 927 001 UAH). The origin of these funds is not documented.
In such circumstances, the suspect organized the acquisition, ownership, use and disposal of vehicles and real estate, for which there are grounds to believe that they were obtained. All this – through financial transactions, transactions, movement, changes in the form (transformation) of property, as well as through actions aimed at concealing its property, rights to it and sources of origin.
Earlier, Borisov was dismissed after the media was released by information that his family had purchased on the Spanish real estate and car on millions of dollars during a full -scale war.
On July 22, the former Odessa troops were suspected of illegal enrichment of hundreds of millions of hryvnias and in deliberate evasion of service.
In December 2023, the real estate of the Odessa military committee in Spain – Villa and the office space was seized. The court also arrested 9 plots, two houses, homeowners, two apartments and 1/3 of the apartment, 6 elite cars.
On May 30, 2024, the court elected the former Chief of the Odessa Regional Criminal Code and the JV preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail of UAH 140 million.
