Prosecutors of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office sent to court an indictment against a local resident who organized an explosion in a police room in Bilyaevka in Odesa region.

According to the investigation, the man was recruited by a representative of the intelligence agency of the aggressor state. At the task of the curator, he agreed to produce homemade explosive devices and transfer them to sell terrorist attacks in the region.
“For this purpose he acquired chemical reagents, electronics and other components, after which he collected explosives in his own apartment and prepared it for use,” – the message reads.
On the morning of March 23, the attacker organized the transportation of an explosive device on a taxi to Bilyaivka, masking under a regular gift.
Further, according to his instructions, the “gift” was handed over to a woman who, without knowing the contents, brought the package to the premises of the district police department.
“A few minutes later, the device was remotely activated by a phone call from the territory of the Russian Federation,” the Attorney General’s office reminded.
The explosion was killed by one person, three more – the police were injured in moderate injuries. The administrative building of the police body was partially destroyed, material damage was caused to the state in the amount of more than 220 thousand UAH.
The accused was accused of committing a terrorist act that led to the death of a person, the illegal production of explosives and devices, storage of weapons, as well as cooperation with representatives of special services of the aggressor state. At the request of the prosecutor’s office, the man is in custody.
On March 23, a woman brought a bomb pack in Bilyaivka in Bilyaevka in Odessa region. She died herself from the explosion.
The Security Service of Ukraine qualified an explosion in the police building in Bilyaivka, Odessa region as a terrorist attack.
