The ministry noted that the Cabinet of Ministry handed over Pinbank’s “Ukrposhta” to create a post office. After the bill # 12044 is adopted, the bank will provide access to financial services for more than 30% of Ukrainians, in particular in frontier, de -industrial and remote areas.
UkrPoshta Bank will operate on the basis of a special limited banking license. It will offer the following financial services: social payments, payment of accounts, opening accounts and not only. Particular attention is paid to socially vulnerable categories of the population and small businesses that need support.
It is expected that after the bank is launched:
- The state will be able to save up to UAH 2.6 billion annually at expenses related to the payment of pensions and social assistance;
- Thanks to more than 25,000 new services, financial services will be available even in the most remote corners of the country;
- Increasing non -cash payments will reduce the level of corruption and increase the state budget;
- For low -mobility people and persons with disabilities, it will be possible to receive banking services at home;
- Even in the event of light or communication, basic banking services will be available in frontier and rural areas, which is especially important during crisis situations.
“This is an important step in the government to ensure financial accessibility, especially during the war,” the Ministry of Development said.
