On May 30, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted new negotiations within the framework of the entry into the European Union by two clusters.
Prime Minister Denis Shmigal stated this during a government meeting.
It is a cluster 2 “Internal Market” and cluster 6 “External Relations”. The second cluster covers the key spheres of functioning of the Unified EU market – the free movement of goods, services, labor and capital, as well as the rules of competition and protection of consumer rights.
The sixth cluster concerns the role of Ukraine in foreign policy, security and defense of the EU – in particular the contribution of our country to strengthening Europe’s stability and protecting the continent from Russian aggression.
According to Shmigal, the approved documents contain Ukrainian proposals that determine priorities and obligations on the way to full membership in the EU.
Earlier, we wrote that Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban once again opposed the European integration of Ukraine, saying that its membership in the European Union was contrary to the reached of peace on the continent.
We have already reported that Radio Liberty Editor -in -Chief Ricard Jezvyak reportedthat Ukraine should start negotiating to join the EU. However, Hungary blocked this process again.
