The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended the contract “Contract 18-24”. It will now be able to conclude not only the Armed Forces, but also the servicemen of the National Guard and the State Border Service.

Changes provide for expansion of grounds for obtaining one -time cash payments. The remuneration will be received by those who serve in combat conditions, participate in hostilities in the temporarily occupied territories, as well as in the areas between the positions of the defense forces and the troops of the aggressor.
In addition, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Main Department of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Administration have been authorized to determine the list of positions for servicemen aged 18 to 25 years. The government also simplified the medical examination procedure, in particular, reduced the requirements for a psychiatrist.
A few days after the announcement of a new annual contract for youth 18-24 years, about ten thousand men have expressed a desire to join the army.
The number of appeals in the mobile application “Reserve+” regarding the conclusion of the annual “motivational contract” for service in the army for volunteers aged 18 to 24 years has already exceeded the mark of 10 thousand. The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Dmitry Lazutkin said.
We will remind, in Ukraine the contract of 18-24 started, which enables citizens from 18 to 24 years to sign a voluntary annual contract and join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Dmitry Lazutkin, there is a great interest in this initiative.
Volunteers provided benefits and payments. In particular, they are promised a financial reward of 1 million hryvnias, zero mortgage, free training and medical care. In addition, the soldiers will be prepared by NATO standards and will allow you to travel abroad after 1 year of service.
The Defense Ministry also told what positions they will be able to occupy 18-24-year-old volunteers in the army. They will only serve in combat positions that are at risk. These are the positions of shooter, grenade launcher, scout.
However, those who already serve will not be able to take advantage of the contract 24. The Cabinet resolution does not provide for the transition of existing servicemen for 18-24 years to a “motivational contract” for young people.
