Writer and translator Yevgenia Kuznetsova, the author of the text of this year’s All-Ukrainian radio dictation of national unity-2025 “We must live!”, commented on the negative reaction of Ukrainians to its holding. Like, dictation “really unites”, even if it is negative.

She wrote about it on Facebook.

Kuznetsova, known for the novels “Ask Miechka” and “Roads under the Ash Trees”, noted ironically that at first everyone complains about the difficulty of writing and the quality of reading, and after checking – they discuss the incomprehensible punctuation.

“Radio dictation really unites…! Now everyone is united by the idea that it was hard to read and what kind of words are these, and when the text is published, everyone will unite under the slogan “Why is there a comma?” This is a dictate of national unity. You were warned!), Yevgenia Kuznetsova wrote on Facebook.

The reaction of Ukrainians to the dictation read by actress Natalia Sumska was critical. Participants complained about the fast pace of reading. In particular, the record holder of the Radio Dictator Khrystyna Hoyanyuk from Lviv criticized Kuznetsova’s text, saying that it “knocked her down”, was badly read and called it “stupid”.

The text of this year’s Radiodictator of National Unity-2025, entitled “We must live!”, authored by Yevgenia Kuznetsova, contained a number of rarely used words, complex adverbs and dialecticisms that could puzzle thousands of participants.

On October 25, Ukrainians wrote the Radiodictator of National Unity-2024 “The Magic of the Voice”.
