Previously, the Prosecutor General’s Office provided participation in the proceedings of the Pechersk District Court. Kyiv of the administrative protocol on the offense related to corruption, drawn up by the NAZK based on the materials of the State Security Bureau, in relation to the mentioned people’s deputy.
The prosecutor proved in court that the people’s elected official, being a suspect in criminal proceedings, acting in conditions of a real conflict of interests, unlawfully used his parliamentary powers by sending parliamentary appeals to the Ministry of Health and the SBI in order to obtain information necessary for the realization of his personal interests , in no way connected with his parliamentary activity.
The court agreed with the position of the prosecutor and found the People’s Deputy of Ukraine guilty of committing an administrative offense provided for in Part 2 Art. 172-7 of the Labor Code of Ukraine. The court imposed an administrative sanction on him in the form of a fine.
