Two tax service staff from Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions were suspected of illegal disclosure of official information.
According to him, during 2024, these officials copied data from the Unified Register of Tax Invoices, which contained information about taxpayers.
The stolen information was transmitted by the taxpayers to outsiders, including the administrator of one of the popular Telegram -channels. It was through this channel that the data was accessible.
The “fused” files contained detailed information about the financial activity of companies, prices for goods and information about counterparties.
Such a leak creates serious risks to business, as sensitive financial data can be used for unfair competition or fraud.
Kravchenko stressed that the pre -trial investigation in criminal proceedings is currently underway. Law enforcement officers collect evidence and establish all those involved in the transmission of official information.
The management of the tax service promises to respond to such cases, because the protection of personal and commercial data of taxpayers is a priority for the state.
