During the meeting, Syrsky informed the British partners in detail about the operational situation at the front. He spoke about the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine aimed at disrupting the autumn-winter campaign of the Russian troops, as well as about the situation in the most difficult areas.
According to the commander-in-chief, despite serious pressure from the enemy, the Ukrainian units manage not only to restrain the offensive, but also to counterattack. “The armed forces of Ukraine are successfully inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian troops,” Sirskyi said.
In a separate block, the parties discussed the current needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. It was about means of destruction for land, aviation and sea components. According to the head of the commissar, these issues are of key importance for maintaining the combat capability of the army and further strengthening the defense.
Syrskyi also thanked Richard Knighton, the government and people of Great Britain for their stable political support for Ukraine and significant military assistance. “The visit of the British partners once again confirmed the effectiveness of our military cooperation and strategic partnership,” he emphasized.
The Armed Forces note that cooperation with Great Britain remains one of the key areas of international military support for Ukraine in conditions of a full-scale war.
