The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi had a telephone conversation with the Chief of the General Staff of the French Armed Forces Thierry Burkar, during which they discussed current issues regarding the situation at the front, the needs of the Armed Forces and the shelling of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.

Syrsky informed his French colleague in detail about the strategic situation on various front lines, and also focused on Russia’s war crimes, including massive missile and air strikes on critical infrastructure and civilian objects of Ukraine.
During the conversation, the urgent needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in critical types of weapons, equipment and ammunition were discussed. The result of the discussion was the agreement of joint efforts for the further development of military cooperation between Ukraine and France.
Syrskyi expressed special gratitude for the assistance provided, in particular for air defense equipment, military equipment and ammunition, and also thanked France for its constant support to Ukraine.
