As noted, the Security Service and the National Police documented the war crimes of another racist who tortured Ukrainian prisoners of war.

We are talking about a citizen of the Russian Federation, Oleksiy Khavetsky, the deputy head of the “correctional colony No. 7”, which is located in the Vladimir region of the Russian Federation.

According to the case file, at least from the end of May 2023 to February 2024, the official personally participated in the torture of captured Ukrainian soldiers who were imprisoned in a Russian prison.

In the torture chambers, the victims were tortured with electric current and guard dogs, which were used by the Russians to guard the perimeter of the regime facility, were pointed at them.

Also, on the instructions of Havetskyi, his subordinates regularly beat prisoners, and then left them for a long time without food, water, and medical care.

Another common way of abusing the victims was to keep them without warm clothes in frozen cells without heating or at low temperatures in the open air.

Using torture, the jailer tried to “beat out” from the victims the “confessions” needed by the occupiers in pre-fabricated cases against Ukrainian defenders.

In addition, he used physical violence and psychological pressure on prisoners to force them to cooperate for the benefit of the Russian Federation in the war against Ukraine.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed Khavetsky in absentia about the suspicion under part. 2 Art. 28, ch. 1 Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy).

It is noted that, despite the fact that the perpetrator is in Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to find him and punish him.

Earlier it was reported that Russian invaders tortured to death 45-year-old local resident Volodymyr Zakabluk in the city of Kakhovka, Kherson Oblast.

In addition, the Prosecutor General’s Office sent an indictment to the court against three Russian servicemen involved in war crimes during the occupation of the village of Novopetrivka, Bashtan District, Mykolaiv Oblast.
