The Politico Poll, conducted at the beginning of December in France, Germany, the USA, Canada and Great Britain, recorded a decrease in support for financial aid to Ukraine among the French and Germans.

In these two countries, there is a growing number of those advocating a reduction in support spending for Kyiv, while in North America and Great Britain, public opinion remains more in favor of maintaining or increasing aid.
In total, more than 10,000 respondents were interviewed.
In Germany, almost half of the respondents – 45% – spoke in favor of reducing financial injections for Ukraine, and only 20% supported their increase.
In France, 37% of respondents also want to reduce the amount of financial support, while 24% are in favor of increasing it.
The greatest opposition to aid is recorded among voters of the far-right parties — Alternative for Germany and National Unity in France, while the centrist electorate is much less skeptical.
The reasons for the change in mood in Europe are mostly related to fears about the burden on national economies.
For many citizens, the key argument against a further increase in support was budget costs and tangible internal socio-economic pressure.
At the same time, the most common reason for maintaining aid in all five states remains the belief that countries cannot be allowed to seize foreign territories by force.
It will be recalled that the Netherlands allocated 250 million euros to Ukraine for ammunition for the F-16.
The first founding meeting of the shelter coalition of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, created at the initiative of Ukraine and Team Europe, was also held in Kyiv.
