The move strengthens cyber security amid a war with Russia. The list is mandatory for state bodies, local councils, the army and critical infrastructure.
Rejection of risky software is the key to the stability of the state. The programs may hide vulnerabilities for espionage or sabotage. The State Intelligence Service emphasizes that the use of such solutions threatens national security.
Numerous products of the Russian company “1C” were included in the black list. Among them are “1C: Accounting 8 for Ukraine”, “1C: Enterprise 8. Trade Management” and the BAS-series – ERP, Trade Management, Corporate Accounting.
Old versions 7.7 and specialized software for state employees, such as “UA-Budget”, were also banned.
The company “1C” dominated the accounting software market in Ukraine. Until 2017, it was promoted by Eurosoftprom and Skyline Software, both under sanctions. They held the copyright and provided updates.
Sanctions did not stop the popularity of “1C”. Even after the restrictions, businesses and institutions continued to use it. DOU data show: in 2021, 60 vacancies for 1C specialists were recorded every month.
It will be recalled that the State Intelligence Service announced that the world’s first cyber war is now underway.
The State Intelligence Service also warned about hackers who send out fake subpoenas to steal data.
